The Mock Group Discussion (GD) & Interview program was organized by TKM Institute of Management with the objective of enhancing students’ skills in preparation for corporate recruitment processes. The program provided students with valuable insights into the dynamics of group discussions and corporate interviews, thereby preparing them for future career opportunities.
The primary objectives of the program were to:
- Provide students with practical experience in participating in and leading
group discussions. - Familiarize students with the format, expectations, and evaluation criteria of
corporate interviews. - Equip students with effective communication, critical thinking, and problemsolving
skills essential for success in GDs and interviews.
Program Structure:
- Group Discussion (GD):
- Participants were divided into groups and assigned topics relevant to contemporary issues, business scenarios, or industry trends.
- Each group engaged in a structured discussion, facilitated by a moderator, focusing on articulation, listening skills, logical reasoning, and teamwork.
- Feedback sessions followed each GD round, providing participants with constructive criticism and actionable insights for improvement.
- Interviews:
- Participants underwent simulated one-on-one interviews conducted by faculty members acting as interviewers.
- Interviews covered a range of topics, including personal background, academic achievements, professional aspirations, mistakes and situational questions.
- Interviewers provided personalized feedback on participants’ performance, highlighting strengths and areas for development.
Methodology:
