Finance Club Nidhi conducted a Post Budget Analysis session on 5th March 2013- Tuesday afternoon from 2 PM to 4 PM at seminar hall of the institute as planned in the club activity calendar given to the director for the academic semester February –March 2013. . All MBA participants both II and IV (in the presence of faculty members) participated the session on the club activity day and made presentations within the stipulated time given to them. All participants brought the Economic Times special supplementary copy regarding budget evaluation. Budget analysis by the participants constituted the following aspects:- 1. Presentation of Key features of the Union Budget 2013- 20 minutes 2. Presentation of discussion clips (Key points )by budget experts in media.- 20 minutes 3. Pre-Budget and Post Budget evaluation. (Comparison of actual and expected aspects in current budget / Main amendments when compared with previous Union Budget- 2012) 20 minutes. 4. Sectoral discussion – Sector wise benefits focused in budget. -30 minutes (Different groups allocated will deal with individual sectors) Sectors include – Auto, Banking, Cons. Prods, Energy, Ind’l goods, Health care, Services, Telecom, Transport, Jobs. 5. Budget impact (as a conclusion by senior semester participant) – 15 minutes.
