MDP on “ENHANCING ENTREPRENEURIAL SKILLS FOR WOMEN” ON 12th FEB 2018

TIM in association with Kerala State Industrial Development Corportation (KSIDC) and Light It Up (LIU) conducted a one day Management Developement Program on”ENHANCING ENTREPRENEURIAL SKILLS FOR WOMEN” on 12th Feb 2018 at TIM Campus.

The program catered to every women who aspire to be  entrepreneurs by enabling them to identify viable business opportunities and develop a feasible & sustainable plan for their proposed or existing enterprises.

The event was whole day long and 33 women participants from different Kudumbasree units attended the workshop.

The event commenced by 9.30 am. The Chief Guests; Ms. Rekha Babuthe (Founder- Soothika Healthcare), Ms. Dhanya M (Innovator and Chief Trainer, Light It Up), Mr. Anu Karthik (Founder of Light It Up) along with the participants were given a colourful welcome followed by a silent prayer. The welcome speech was delivered by student coordinators Sruthi Suresh Kumar and Anu A Mathew from Second Semester MBA.It was followed by an inaugural address by Dr. A Viswanathan, Director – TIM.

It was succeeded by an inspiring speech by Ms Rekha Babu -founder of Soothika Healthcare; to enhance entrepreneurship among women. A memento was handed over to Ms. Rekha Babu by Jb. Abdul Kareem Musaliar, Executive Director -TIM,  as a token of love & gratitude.

The first session was a practical training program by Ms. Dhanya M (Innovator and Chief Trainer, Light It Up) and Mr. Anu Karthik (Founder of Light It Up) . It was a truly innovative session that inspired participants to identify viable business opportunities and develop feasible as well a sustainable plan for their proposed or existing enterprises.

The second session was a practical session on creative craft making emphasizing on Wealth Out Of Waste (WOW) handled by experts. Everyone sat glued to the event and participated team wise actively. Before concluding the forenoon session memento was handover to training experts by Ms. Nisa S, Asst prof, TIM and Ms. S. Archana, Asst Prof,TIM.

Afternoon section was handled by Azhar Bhaseer,Asst Prof, TIM; about how to start a new venture and shared his personal experience as a successful entrepreneur. His inspirational words and guidance was rated as a great value addition for the participants.

Participation certificates was issued by Director,TIM, followed by a formal vote of thanks by student coordinator Anu A. Mathew and the event concluded by 4. 30pm.

The participants from different Kudumbasree units complimented and gave a positive feedback about the programme.
